“Mur cilik, Mur Cilik. Ayo cari kayu bakar!” suara temanku memanggil. “Tunggu sebentar, aku baru selesai sarapan,” jawabku sambil membereskan bungkus bubur.

Lemoxipen, lemoxipen

Antibiotics - Lemoxipen (Brand name: augmentin)

Common use It is is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which destroys bacteria. It is active against many aerobic (those developing in presence of oxygen) and anaerobic (those developing in absence of oxygen) gram positive and aerobic gram negative microorganisms including strains which produce beta-lactamase (the enzyme which destroys penicillin). Clavulanate potassium comprised in the content of this medication provides resistance of Augmentin to activity of bacterial beta-lactamases. This medication is used to treat pneumonia and other infectious diseases of respiratory, gastrointestinal systems, urogenital systems, infections which appear after surgery and others.

Dosage and directions Doses are administered individually depending on your condition, localization of infection and susceptibility of the pathogen. Do not take it in larger amounts or longer than recommended. Swallow the whole tablet. If it is the Augmentin Chewable tablet then chew it before swallowing. Augmentin should be taken at evenly spaced interval.

Precautions Do not use it if you are allergic to any other penicillin antibiotic, if you have liver or kidney failure or mononucleosis.

Contraindications Do not use the medicine if you have allergy to its components or another penicillin antibiotics, if you have infectious mononucleosis, a history of liver problems or yellowing of the eyes or skin caused by Augmentin.

Possible side effect Dyspepsia, abdominal discomfort, bloating, gas nausea, vomiting, liver function disorders, hepatitis, jaundice caused by stagnation of bile, vaginal itching and also symptoms of allergy (hives, rash, swelling). Cautiousness should be exercised in patients with liver failure. The medication is not recommended for pregnant (especially third trimester) and breastfeeding women.

Treatment with Augmentin and other antibiotics can change the normal bacteria flora of the colon and permit overgrowth of C. difficile, a bacteria which causes pseudomembranous colitis. Probenecid which is used to treat gout may slow excretion of Augmentin by kidneys and result in increase of its toxicity.

Missed dose If you missed a dose take it as soon as you remember, but not if it is almost time of the next intake by your schedule. If so skip the missed dose. Do not try to compensate a missed dose by taking an extra one.

Overdose If you suppose that took too much of Augmentin and experience such symptoms as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, skin rash, drowsiness, and hyperactivity, seek immediate medical help.

Danazol medlineplus drug information, dainazol

Danazol

Do not take danazol if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. A method of birth control (contraception) other than oral contraceptives should be used while taking danazol. If you become pregnant, call your doctor immediately. Life-threatening strokes, increased pressure in the brain, and serious liver disease complicated by potentially life-threatening abdominal bleeding have been reported during therapy with danazol. Talk to your doctor about the potential risks associated with this medication.

Why is this medication prescribed?

Danazol is used to treat endometriosis, a disease that causes infertility, pain before and during menstrual periods, pain during and after sexual activity, and heavy or irregular bleeding. Danazol is also used in fibrocystic breast disease to reduce breast pain, tenderness, and nodules (lumps). Danazol is also used to prevent attacks of angioedema in both males and females.

This medication is sometimes prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

How should this medicine be used?

Danazol comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It usually is taken twice a day. Women should take the first dose during a menstrual period and take it continuously thereafter. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take danazol exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Do not stop taking danazol without talking to your doctor. If you have fibrocystic breast disease, breast pain and tenderness usually improve during the first month that you take danazol and go away in 2 to 3 months; nodules should improve in 4 to 6 months.

What special precautions should I follow?

Before taking danzaol,

tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to danazol or any other drugs.

tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially anticoagulants ('blood thinners') such as warfarin (Coumadin); diabetes medications such as insulin; medications to prevent seizures, especially carbamazepine (Tegretol); and vitamins.

tell your doctor if you have or have ever had migraine headaches; heart, liver, or kidney disease; seizures (epilepsy); or a history of stroke, blood clots, or breast cancer.

What should I do if I forget a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Erythritol - like sugar without the calories, erytrotil

Erythritol – Like Sugar Without The Calories

It’s natural, doesn’t cause side effects and tastes almost exactly like sugar without the calories.

Basically, all the good stuff in regular sugar, with none of the bad stuff.

Since I’ve gotten several e-mails asking me about this trendy sweetener, I decided to do some research on it.

What is Erythritol?

Erythritol belongs to a class of compounds called sugar alcohols .

These molecules are like hybrids of a carbohydrate and an alcohol (it doesn’t contain any ethanol though… the stuff that gets you drunk).

There are many different sugar alcohols. They can be found in natural foods like fruits, but they’re also added to “sugar-free” products of all sorts.

The way these molecules are structured gives them the ability to stimulate the sweet taste receptors on our tongues.

Common sugar alcohols include xylitol, sorbitol, maltitol, to name a few. But erythritol appears to be quite a bit different than the others.

To begin with, it contains much fewer calories:

Table sugar: 4 calories per gram.

Xylitol: 2.4 calories per gram.

Erythritol: 0.24 calories per gram.

With only 6% of the calories of sugar, it still has 70% of the sweetness.

Due to its unique chemical structure, our bodies don’t break it down.

It goes pretty much unchanged through our system, without causing any of the harmful metabolic effects of excess sugar … or the digestive issues associated with other sugar alcohols.

In large scale production, erythritol is created when a type of yeast ferments glucose. The final product looks something like this (photo source ):

Erythritol Does Not Spike Blood Sugar or Insulin

Humans don’t have the enzymes to break down erythritol.

It gets absorbed into the bloodstream and is then excreted unchanged in the urine.

When healthy people are given erythritol, there is no change in blood sugar or insulin levels. There is also no effect on cholesterol, triglycerides or other biomarkers (1 ).

For people who are overweight, with diabetes or other issues related to the metabolic syndrome, erythritol appears to be an excellent alternative to sugar.

Erythritol Does Not Feed Bacteria in The Mouth

One widely accepted side effect of sugar consumption is poor dental health… cavities and tooth decay.

The harmful bacteria in the mouth can use sugar for energy.

When these bacteria have plenty of energy, they grow, multiply and secrete acids that erode the enamel of the teeth.

Other sugar alcohols like Xylitol have found their way into “tooth-friendly” products, because bacteria can not digest them and use them for energy.

Multiple studies have examined the effects erythritol has on dental caries and the results are mixed. Some studies show a reduction in plaque and the harmful bacteria, while another study shows no actual reduction in caries (2. 3. 4 ).

According to a 3-year study in 485 school children, erythritol was even more protective against dental caries than xylitol and sorbitol (5 ).

What Happens to Erythritol in The Body?

There is one major caveat to most sugar alcohols… they can cause digestive issues.

Because the body can’t metabolize all of them, some travel to the intestine where they get fed to the bacteria.

But… again, erythritol is different.

Most of it gets absorbed into the body way before it gets to the colon, where most of the bacteria reside.

From the small intestine, it travels into the bloodstream.

There it circulates for a while, until it is eventually excreted unchanged in the urine. About 90% of erythritol gets excreted this way (6 ).

Erythritol And The Digestive System

Even though some amount of erythritol were to reach the intestinal bacteria, they can not digest it (7 ).

Feeding studies with up to 1 gram per kg (0,45 g per lb) of body weight show that it is very well tolerated (8. 9 ).

However, one study showed that 50 grams of erythritol in a single dose did increase nausea and stomach rumbling (10 ).

Unless you’re eating massive amounts of it at a time, then it’s unlikely to make you sick or have to run to the toilet.

Take this with a grain of salt however, as this can vary between people.

Overall, erythritol appears to be very safe. Multiple studies on metabolism and toxicity have been performed in test animals. Despite long-term feeding of high amounts of erythritol, no negative effects have been discovered (11. 12 ).

My Concerns About Low-Calorie Sweeteners in General

I did not manage to find anything negative about erythritol in any of the studies I looked at.

But I am still not convinced that low-calorie sweeteners in general are totally harmless.

Even though these sweeteners don’t contain calories, they are still associated with obesity and diabetes in the long-term. This is well documented (13. 14. 15. 16 ).

This may be because the sweeteners increase the “reward value” of our foods, which can impact our brains and make us eat more subconsciously (17 ).

Some obesity researchers even believe the amount of processed super-rewarding foods in the food supply to be the true cause of the obesity epidemic.

Whether all of this applies to erythritol and not just artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, I do not know. Time will tell.

The Bottom Line

Overall, erythritol appears to be an excellent sweetener.

It contains almost no calories.

It has 70% of the sweetness of sugar.

It doesn’t raise blood sugar or insulin levels.

Human studies show very little side effects… mainly minor digestive issues in some people.

Studies where animals are fed massive amounts for long periods of time show no adverse effects.

I’ve often recommended that people who must have some sweetness in their lives replace it with stevia or tiny amounts of honey.

However, honey contains calories and fructose, while many people don’t appreciate the aftertaste of Stevia.

Erythritol appears to have the best of both worlds.

What are Generics

A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, how it is taken, performance, and intended use. Before generics become available on the market, the generic company must prove it has the same active ingredients as the brand-name and works the same way in the body in the same amount of time.

The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is the generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (e. g. different shape or color), as trademark laws prevent a generic from looking exactly like the brand-name drug.

Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to invent a drug. When the brand-name patent expires, generic companies can manufacture a copy of the brand-name drug and sell it at substantial discounts.

You may be more likely to get lactic acidosis or serious liver problems if you are female, very overweight (obese), or have been taking TRUVADA for a long time. In some cases, these serious conditions have led to death. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any symptoms of these conditions.

Worsening of hepatitis B (HBV) infection. If you also have HBV and take TRUVADA, your hepatitis may become worse if you stop taking TRUVADA. Do not stop taking TRUVADA without first talking to your healthcare provider. If your healthcare provider tells you to stop taking TRUVADA, they will need to watch you closely for several months to monitor your health. TRUVADA is not approved for the treatment of HBV.

If your healthcare provider has prescribed TRUVADA to help reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 infection, you should also know:

You must be HIV-negative before you start taking TRUVADA to reduce the risk of getting HIV-1. You must get tested to make sure that you do not already have HIV-1 infection. Do not take TRUVADA to reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 unless you are confirmed to be HIV-negative.

Many HIV-1 tests can miss HIV-1 infection in a person who has recently become infected. If you have flu-like symptoms, you could have recently become infected with HIV-1. Tell your healthcare provider if you had a flu-like illness within the last month before starting TRUVADA or at any time while taking TRUVADA. Symptoms of new HIV-1 infection include tiredness, fever, joint or muscle aches, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, night sweats, and/or enlarged lymph nodes in the neck or groin.

Just taking TRUVADA may not keep you from getting HIV-1. You must continue using safer sex practices while you are taking TRUVADA to reduce your risk of getting HIV-1. To further reduce your risk of getting HIV-1.

Get tested for other sexually transmitted infections. Other infections make it easier for HIV-1 to infect you.

Get information and support to help reduce risky sexual behavior.

Have fewer sex partners.

Do not miss any doses of TRUVADA. Missing doses may increase your risk of getting HIV-1 infection.

You must stay HIV-negative to keep taking TRUVADA to reduce your risk of getting HIV-1.

Know your HIV-1 status and the HIV-1 status of your partners.

Get tested for HIV-1 at least every 3 months or when your healthcare provider tells you.

If you think you were exposed to HIV-1. tell your healthcare provider right away.

If you do become HIV-1 positive, you need more medicine than TRUVADA alone to treat HIV-1. TRUVADA itself is not a complete treatment for HIV-1.

If you have HIV-1 and take only TRUVADA, your HIV-1 may become harder to treat.

Who should not take TRUVADA?

Do not take TRUVADA if you also take:

Medicines containing emtricitabine, tenofovir alafenamide, or tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (ATRIPLA, COMPLERA, DESCOVY, EMTRIVA, GENVOYA, ODEFSEY, STRIBILD, VIREAD).

Medicines containing lamivudine (Combivir, Dutrebis, Epivir, Epivir-HBV, Epzicom, Triumeq, Trizivir).

Medicines containing adefovir (HEPSERA).

If your healthcare provider has prescribed TRUVADA to help reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 infection, do not take TRUVADA if:

You already have HIV-1 infection or if you do not know your HIV-1 infection status. If you are HIV-1 positive, you need to take other medicines with TRUVADA to treat HIV-1. TRUVADA itself is not a complete treatment for HIV-1. If you have HIV-1 and take only TRUVADA, your HIV-1 may become harder to treat.

What are the other possible side effects of TRUVADA?

Serious side effects of TRUVADA may also include:

Kidney problems, including kidney failure. Your healthcare provider may do blood tests to check your kidneys before and during treatment with TRUVADA. If you develop kidney problems, your healthcare provider may tell you to take TRUVADA less often, or to stop taking TRUVADA.

Bone problems, including bone pain or bones getting soft or thin, which may lead to fractures. Your healthcare provider may do tests to check your bones.

Changes in body fat, which can happen in people taking HIV-1 medicines.

Changes in your immune system. If you have HIV-1 infection and start taking HIV-1 medicines, your immune system may get stronger and begin to fight infections. This may cause minor symptoms such as fever, but can also lead to serious problems. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any new symptoms after you start taking TRUVADA.

The most common side effects in people taking TRUVADA to treat HIV-1 infection include: diarrhea, nausea, tiredness, headache, dizziness, depression, problems sleeping, abnormal dreams, and rash.

Common side effects in people taking TRUVADA to reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 infection include: stomach-area (abdomen) pain, headache, and decreased weight.

Tell your healthcare provider if you have any side effects that bother you or do not go away.

What should I tell my healthcare provider before taking TRUVADA?

All your health problems. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider if you have or have had any kidney, bone, or liver problems, including hepatitis virus infection.

If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if TRUVADA can harm your unborn baby. Tell your healthcare provider if you become pregnant while taking TRUVADA. If you are taking TRUVADA to reduce the risk of getting HIV-1 and you become pregnant, talk to your healthcare provider to decide if you should keep taking TRUVADA. Pregnancy Registry: A pregnancy registry collects information about your health and the health of your baby. There is a pregnancy registry for women who take medicines to treat or prevent HIV-1 during pregnancy. For more information about the registry and how it works, talk to your healthcare provider.

If you are breastfeeding (nursing) or plan to breastfeed. Do not breastfeed. The medicines in TRUVADA can pass to your baby in breast milk. If you have HIV-1 or if you become HIV-1 positive, HIV-1 can be passed to the baby in breast milk.

All the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. TRUVADA may interact with other medicines. Keep a list of all your medicines and show it to your healthcare provider and pharmacist when you get a new medicine.

If you take certain other medicines with TRUVADA, your healthcare provider may need to check you more often or change your dose. These medicines include: didanosine (Videx EC), atazanavir (Reyataz), atazanavir with cobicistat (Evotaz), darunavir (Prezista), darunavir with cobicistat (Prezcobix), lopinavir with ritonavir (Kaletra), or ledipasvir with sofosbuvir (HARVONI).

Beclorhinol [in more detail]

Beclorhinol Indication:

For the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in patients 5 years of age and older

Beclorhinol Mechanism Of Action:

Unbound corticosteroids cross cell membranes and bind with high affinity to specific cytoplasmic receptors. The result includes inhibition of leukocyte infiltration at the site of inflammation, interference in the function of mediators of inflammatory response, suppression of humoral immune responses, and reduction in edema or scar tissue. The antiinflammatory actions of corticosteroids are thought to involve phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Store Betnovate at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Keep Betnovate out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Celox-A is a life saver

Posted by Elena on 02 04 2015

This product, Celox-A, is in high demand among medics who save lives of Ukrainian soldiers in Eastern Ukraine. They highly prize it because it's easy, fast, and safe to use in combat situations and during the evacuation of wounded soldiers. It's much more convenient to apply to bullet and shrapnel wounds around the neck and collarbone areas, which are hard to stabilize with a tourniquet or a modular bandage (Olaes or similair). It's easy and fast to use and doesn't require usage training, a very valuable trait when time is a factor between life and death.
