Imizine indication, action of imizine, interactions, imizine

Imizine [in more detail]

For the relief of symptoms of depression and as temporary adjunctive therapy in reducing enuresis in children aged 6 years and older.

Imizine Mechanism Of Action:

Imizine works by inhibiting the re-uptake of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine and serotonin by nerve cells. It binds the Sodium-dependent serotonin transporter and Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter, preventing or reducing the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin by nerve cells. As norepinephrine and serotonin are used to stimulate the synapse, and depression has been linked to a lack of stimulation of the recipient neuron at a synapse, slowing the reuptake of these neurotransmitters allows them to remain in the synaptic gap longer than it normal, increasing the stimulation of the recipient neuron and relieving the symptoms of depression. However, it does not act primarily by stimulation of the central nervous system. The clinical effect is also hypothesized as being due to potentiation of adrenergic synapses by blocking uptake of norepinephrine at nerve endings.

Health & balance, mental booster

Health & Balance

Feeling good, boosting energy, and finding balance -- things we all surely would like to achieve – resonated with readers in 2008’s turbulent economic times. Even the Dalai Lama weighed in on easing stress. Those topics are among the most popular emotional health stories on WebMD for 2008. 13 Healthy Habits to Improve Your Life 11 Things That May Be Zapping Your Energy Fat Pharms: Antidepressants and Weight Gain Serotonin: 9 Questions and Answe.

Of course, no pill can make you a genius if you aren't one, Flowers for Algernon style. So what exactly are brain boosters?

"It could mean several things. It could mean herbs or nutrients that enhance clarity of thinking, alertness, focus, concentration, memory, and even mood," says Ray Sahelian, MD, author of Mind Boosters and a family practitioner in Marina Del Ray, Calif.

"Most commonly, people will notice that they are more focused and alert, that they are more motivated, that they are processing information faster," he says.

That is, if they notice any effects.

"Some have tried and have gotten benefits. Others may not have noticed anything," Sahelian says.

Brain boosters may appear to stimulate mental activity, but they are not stimulants in the strict sense, as things such as caffeine. ephedrine. or amphetamines are. In many cases, no one really knows how they act on the brain .

"Herbs will have several different compounds in them, as opposed to, let's say, a drug like amphetamine. which is basically one compound, one molecule," Sahelian says. "Herbs will have a set of several or several dozen compounds in them. It's difficult to pinpoint which one of them is the most active or whether it's the combination of many of them that are producing the result."

In general, the idea that herbs or nutrients can boost brainpower isn't proven, however.

There hasn't been much research on whether an intelligent, healthy young person can function better intellectually under the influence of reputed brain boosters, and when the research has been done, results have varied.

Herbs for Thought

A lot of recent research has focused on ginkgo biloba. the leaf of the ginkgo tree, which is native to China and one of the oldest plants on the planet.

Ginkgo is particularly interesting to researchers because of its potential to treat Alzheimer's disease and age-related mental decline. Several studies have shown that it does help these conditions, and it's routinely prescribed in places like Germany and France.

How to buy cialis in canada

How to buy CIALIS

Buy CIALIS safely

You’ve decided to take action. You’ve talked to your partner about your condition. Now you’re ready to talk to your doctor.

If you and your doctor decide CIALIS is right for you, your doctor will give you a prescription. Check with your health insurance provider to see if CIALIS is covered. If it isn’t covered today, check again soon—coverage is expanding. CIALIS is not covered by Medicare insurance for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

To be sure your prescription is filled with real CIALIS, take it to an accredited US-based pharmacy. And remember to check if your pharmacy fills prescriptions online.

Buying CIALIS safely online

Here are some legitimate online pharmacies where you can order CIALIS

The list of online pharmacies above is not exhaustive and is current as of November 5, 2015. This list is not an endorsement of any online pharmacy or the quality of support it may provide. For specific information regarding the availability and pricing of CIALIS, please contact the pharmacy directly. Eli Lilly and Company, the maker of CIALIS, does not set or control the actual retail price at pharmacies.

If you have a CIALIS $200 Savings Card, contact your pharmacy of choice to find out if you can redeem the offer online, as the ability to do so may vary by pharmacy. Or, you can redeem your Savings Card in person at your local pharmacy. If your local or mail order pharmacy cannot redeem the Savings Card with your prescription, you are eligible for reimbursement by going to www. opushealth. com to download then mail in a reimbursement form with your prescription receipt.

If you prefer an online pharmacy not listed here, you can verify its legitimacy at LegitScript. com .

Beware of counterfeit (fake) CIALIS

Counterfeit medication has been known to contain dangerous ingredients, such as pesticides, lead, and mercury Often, counterfeit medication contains little to no active ingredient, and that means you won’t get the results you expect

Only use online pharmacies that are accredited by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy ® (NABP)

Here are some ways to help make sure you’re getting the real thing when buying online. Beware of sites that: Offer CIALIS at a price that’s much lower than your local pharmacy or at a price that seems “too good to be true” Don’t list a street address or contact information, especially if they’re not located in the United States More than 50% of drugs bought online from sites that conceal their physical address are counterfeit Sell prescription medications without a prescription, or after a short online survey or review by a remotely located physician Offer generic, “soft tab,” or “fast dissolve” CIALIS There is no generic for CIALIS, and CIALIS only comes as an almond-shaped tablet that is swallowed whole

It’s difficult to tell whether or not drugs purchased online are dangerous because counterfeiters are very good at copying the packaging and appearance of legitimate drugs. Even the makers of legitimate drugs often can’t confirm whether or not a product bought online is real without chemical analyses.

Look for online pharmacies with Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites™ (VIPPS) accreditation. Only online pharmacies with VIPPS accreditation have had their facilities inspected and their practices reviewed by the NABP.

Cost of CIALIS

Information for the patient, frumil 5mg + 40mg

(each FRUMIL tablet contains frusemide 40mg and amiloride hydrochloride 5mg)

This leaflet should be read carefully before you start to take these tablets. This leaflet is a summary of the important information about your tablets. If you have any questions, or are not sure about anything to do with your treatment, ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

The active ingredients in FRUMIL tablets are:

frusemide BP (furosemide INN) 40mg amiloride hydrochloride BP equivalent to 5mg of anhydrous amiloride hydrochloride.

FRUMIL tablets also contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate, talc, sunset yellow dye (E110), colloidal anhydrous silica and magnesium stearate.

FRUMIL is available in blister packs of 28 and 56 tablets and dispensing packs of 100 and 500 tablets.

FRUMIL is one of a group of medicines called diuretics (sometimes described as "water tablets").

FRUMIL, like all water tablets, causes you to pass more urine ("water") than you usually do. With FRUMIL this occurs mainly after 1 or 2 hours. This is normal and you should not worry about this.

The Product Licence and Product Authorisation for FRUMIL is held by:

Rorer Pharmaceuticals Limited, Eastbourne, East Sussex, a member of the Rhône-Poulenc Rorer group of companies.

FRUMIL tablets are manufactured by:

May & Baker Limited, Dagenham, Essex, a member of the Rhône-Poulenc Rorer group of companies.

FRUMIL tablets may be prescribed when there is a build-up of excess water in the body. Excess water can build up in certain conditions which affect the heart, blood vessels, lungs, kidneys or liver.

For example: if the heart is not pumping properly, water can build up in some parts of the body (most noticeably the ankles). This may result in shortness of breath and excessive tiredness.

Your doctor may prescribe these tablets for other reasons. Ask your doctor for any information you need.

If the answer is YES to any of the following questions, you

should discuss the matter with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any of the tablets.

Are you sensitive or allergic to any other diuretics (water tablets) '?

If you know you are sensitive or allergic to any of the inactive ingredients you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.

Are you taking any other water tablets ?

Are you taking any medication which contains potassium?

Are you pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or suspect you could be pregnant ?

Are you breast feeding ?

Is the patient under 12 years old ?

Do you have any liver, kidney or prostate problems, or difficulty in passing urine?

Do you suffer from gout, diabetes or Addison's disease?

Are you taking any of the following medicines: digoxin, lithium, muscle relaxants or medication to treat high blood pressure?

The usual dose of FRUMIL tablets is one or two tablets first thing in the morning.

It is important to take your tablets at the right time. Take them as directed by your doctor. The pharmacist's label will tell you how many to take and how often. If it does not, or you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

The tablets should he swallowed with a small glass of water or milk.

Keep taking your medicine until your doctor tells you to stop.

If you forget to take your FRUMIL tablets in the morning, you can take them as soon as you remember. Then continue the following morning as before.

If you accidentally take too much, or if a child has swallowed any of your tablets, contact your nearest hospital casualty department or tell your doctor immediately.

As well as benefits, a medicine may occasionally have some unwanted effects in some patients.

The following minor side-effects of FRUMIL are well known. You should not need to worry about them unless they become troublesome, in which case contact your doctor:

gastric upset. including feeling or being sick. diarrhoea or constipation,

dry mouth

If you get any of the following tell your doctor immediately:

skin rash or itchy skin,

hearing difficulty or ringing in the ears,

aching or swollen joints.

FRUMIL may occasionally alter the composition of your blood. Your doctor may therefore want to do some blood tests from time to time. FRUMIL may cause reversible changes in liver and kidney function which would be noticed in a blood test. Remember to tell any doctor who does a blood test on you that you are taking FRUMIL.

Like all medicines, FRUMIL may have unwanted effects which are very rare. If you notice any change in your health whilst taking this medicine, tell your doctor immediately.

The expiry date can be found in two places:

On the end flap of the FRUMIL carton. It is written as "EXP". and is the latest of the two dates stamped onto the canon.

The date at one end of the strip

The expiry date can he found on the 1 00 and 500 tablet dispensing bottle label. It is written as "EXP." and is the latest of the two dates stamped onto the label. On both the blister pack and the bottle label the date is written as the first three letters of the month, followed by the last two numbers of the year. For example: MAR 97 means that the expiry date is the end of March 1997.

If in doubt, check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Keep your medicine in the original packaging and away from direct sunlight.

Keep them in a cool (below 25?C), dry place.

Do not keep the tablets if your doctor decides to stop treatment. Return them to your pharmacist who will arrange for their destruction.

REMEMBER. These tablets are only for you . Only a doctor may prescribe them for you. Never give them to others. They may harm other people even if their symptoms appear the same as yours.

What you can do to help yourself

Your doctor will give you advice on the various ways you can help your heart and build up your general health.

FRUMIL is sometimes used for treating conditions that may affect the heart, although your doctor may have given you FRUMIL for some other reason.

If you would like to know more about why you have been given FRUMIL, check with your doctor.

Changing your diet

If you are overweight your heart has more to cope with. So it's a good idea to get as close to your "ideal" weight as possible. If you do not know what your "ideal" weight should be, check with your doctor, surgery nurse or pharmacist.

Whatever weight you are, it's also important to cut down the amount of fat you eat, preferably by up to a quarter. You can do this by:

eating less red meat and more chicken, fish and vegetables,

grilling rather than frying food,

buying skimmed or semi-skimmed milk rather than full-fat milk,

eating low fat cheese,

including more fibre in your diet by eating more cereals, potatoes, leafy vegetables and fruit.

Giving up smoking

Medical research has clearly shown that smoking is bad for the heart, so it's important that you stop smoking now. You'll not only feel better and breathe more easily, but you'll also be saving lots of money.

Stress - and how to avoid it

You can help your heart by learning to enjoy relaxation and avoid stressful situations. Obviously you can't avoid stress altogether but if you follow a regular routine that puts less pressure on you then you'll be all the better for it.

What about alcohol?

Moderate drinking, such as half a pint of beer or a glass or two of wine a day, but not every day, won't harm the heart. However, you should avoid drinking more than this as it may affect your heart and increase your weight into the bargain.

Finding the right exercise

Your doctor can advise you on a planned programme of activity. This will improve your general health without putting too much of a strain on your heart. At first, you should avoid walking up steep hills or staircases with lots of steps. Eventually, though, you can build up to a regular routine of walking, swimming or cycling, or a combination of these.
